CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd., in partnership with CSSC Trading Co., Ltd., completed the delivery of the first 10,800 CEU dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) built for Seaspan Corporation.
The vessel, named Glovis Lander, is 230 meters long, 40 meters wide, and has a draft of 10.5 meters, while its design speed reaches 19 knots.
After its delivery, the vessel will be deployed in vehicle shipping services covering trade routes between Asia, Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe.
The PCTC is equipped with an LNG/fuel oil dual-fuel propulsion system and complies with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III emission standards, allowing for high energy efficiency.
Inside, the vessel has 14 garage decks that offer flexible cargo capacity for electric vehicles, hydrogen cars, and heavy trucks, with a maximum capacity of 10,800 standard car equivalent units (CEU).
