A suspected piracy incident occurred off Yemen after an unidentified skiff approached the merchant vessel on September 10. All the crew were reported safe, and the vessel continued its voyage.

The Maritime Security Centre Indian Ocean (MSCIO), an initiative of the European Union Naval Force (EUNAVFOR) ATALANTA, received a report from the Company Security Officer (CSO) that, near 38 nautical miles southwest of Balhaf, Yemen, at around 09:18 UTC, their vessel was approached by an armed boat with approximately six individuals, prompting the crew to proceed to the citadel as a precautionary security measure.
According to MSCIO, Operation ATALANTA assets were deployed to the area. A subsequent search of the vessel found no pirates or other unauthorised persons onboard. The incident was resolved, and all crew members were reported safe and well.
The vessel is identified as Glamor, sailing under the flag of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is a Greek-owned bulker built in 1998, measuring 154 meters in length, 26 meters in width and 24,000 DWT.
