Between October 10, 2026, and April 24, 2027, Aroya Cruises will transport its guests from the Port of Istanbul to prominent destinations such as Bodrum, Marmaris, Kusadasi, and Alexandria, utilizing the recently expanded facilities at the Turkish terminal.
"Istanbul's privileged location on the Bosphorus, its first-class port facilities, and strong international connections, combined with the city's rich culture, create an ideal homeport in the Mediterranean for cruise lines," stated Galataport Istanbul.
The cruise line is strengthening its presence in Turkey with 25 new cruises from Galataport Istanbul, with whom it has a collaboration agreement, supporting the city's growing position as a year-round cruise homeport.
The voyages from Galataport Istanbul in Aroya Cruises' winter program will contribute to the continuity of cruise tourism during the winter months and position Istanbul as a lively year-round homeport.
In line with Galataport Istanbul's vision as a main port, winter season cruise activity began in 2024 with 25 voyages and 55,000 passengers for the first time in Istanbul's history.
With the addition of Aroya Cruises' new programs, there will be a 143% increase in the number of voyages and a 188% increase in the number of passengers compared to last year, with a target of 150,000 passengers.
"We look forward to welcoming guests on board and enjoying another exciting season of discovery along the Mediterranean," communicated Aroya Cruises, the Saudi cruise line.
This choice of main port not only extends Istanbul's cruise season throughout the year; it also greatly contributes to the Turkish cruise industry as a concrete indicator that Turkey effectively manages its cruise potential with adequate infrastructure and comprehensive route planning.
