Diana Shipping announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Paralos Shipping Pte. Ltd. for one of its Panamax bulker vessels, the M/V Ismene, a 77,901 DWT vessel built in 2013.
The gross charter rate is USD 15,750 per day, minus a 5.00% commission payable to third parties, for a period extending from a minimum of May 15, 2027, to a maximum of July 15, 2027. The shipping company expects the charter to commence on July 5, 2026.
According to the company, the M/V Ismene is currently chartered to CRC Shipping Pte. Ltd. at a gross rate of USD 11,000 per day, minus a 5.00% commission payable to third parties.
Diana Shipping expects the vessel's employment to generate approximately USD 4.88 million in total gross revenue during the minimum scheduled period of the charter contract.
Diana Shipping Inc.'s fleet currently consists of 36 bulk carriers. The company also anticipates receiving two new methanol dual-fuel Kamsarmax bulk carriers in the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028, respectively.
