The Fesco Transport Group, part of the Rosatom State Corporation, organized its first maritime shipment from St. Petersburg to Turkey.
The vessel is transporting Russian export cargo to the ports of Ambarli (Istanbul) and Gebze, and will receive containers with Turkish imports on the return journey.
"In current market conditions, additional options for cargo transportation between Russia and Turkey are especially important. Therefore, Fesco quickly launched a new route from St. Petersburg to offer its clients a transport alternative in both directions. We plan to continue developing this service based on demand and the needs of shippers," stated German Maslov, Deputy General Director of Fesco's Linear Logistics Division.
To develop this route, Fesco plans to make these voyages regular, deploying several container ships on the route to offer clients in Turkey and Russia a variety of transport options.
