K Line Holds 20th Shipowners' Meeting on Navigation Safety

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) held its 20th Liaison Meeting on Safety Measures for Shipowners in Fukuyama City, Japan.

Shipowners and ship management companies, both domestic and international, gather at this meeting to further increase their mutual understanding of navigation safety and cargo operations.

The event was attended by 71 participants from 38 companies, where they held discussions on specific practical cases related to the latest industry trends and operational issues, such as the tightening of environmental regulations in the shipping sector and port state inspections, the diversification of cargo types, geopolitical risks, and the increasingly complex operating environment.

During the reception following the meeting, an awards ceremony was held to recognize outstanding initiatives and achievements, based on the results of vessel inspections and comprehensive evaluations carried out by the company. Seven companies received the Shipowner Excellence Award, two received the Good Practice Award, and one received a special award.

K Line announced that it will continue to strengthen its collaboration with shipowners and ship management companies to improve safety, environmental measures, and quality control, while contributing to the sustainable development of the global shipping industry.
