Timely settlement of invoices plays an important role in supporting effective credit management and enabling us to continue delivering high-quality services across our network. In the current business environment, we remain focused on maintaining operational excellence while ensuring a fair and consistent approach to credit and collections management.
To address the additional costs associated with delayed invoice payments, Maersk will introduce a Late Payment Fee (LPF) effective 1 November 2026.
The Late Payment Fee will apply to Canada export shipments for customers operating under Credit terms where invoices remain unpaid after the applicable invoice due date. The fee will be charged in accordance with the overdue periods outlined below.
For ease of reference, the applicable invoice due date is reflected in the Statement of Account and can also be found on each invoice issued by Maersk.
