MSC Resumes Four Services Through Suez Canal to Europe

MSC confirmed the partial return of four services to the Suez Canal, connecting Asia and India with Europe and the Mediterranean. The decision follows an assessment of operational and security conditions in the Red Sea.

The Jade, Tiger, Albatros, and Himalaya services will progressively resume this route, while the shipping company maintains alternative routes via the Cape of Good Hope. Other companies, such as Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd, have also reactivated some services through Suez.

This return could reduce transit times between Asia and Europe by seven to 14 days and free up capacity currently allocated to longer routes. The evolution will depend on the stability in the Red Sea and the security conditions for maritime operations.
