Dear Customers,
The security situation of piracy risk around the Arabian Peninsula is affecting vessel operations and transit routes, causing disruption throughout our network.
As from 15 September 2026 (proforma date) until further notice, MSC will implement the following surcharges to all cargo moving from Asia to the following destinations:
Abu Kir, Alexandria Old, Aliaga, Antalya, Batumi, Burgas, Constanta, Evyap, Gebze, Gemlik, Giresun, Iskenderun, Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin, Odessa, Poti, Samsun, Tekirdag, Trabzon, Varna.
o A Piracy Risk Surcharge (PRS) of USD 55 per TEU
o A Suez Canal Surcharge (SCS) of USD 36 per TEU
