A new scrap metal export operation was completed at Talcahuano Terminal Portuario (TTP), which on this occasion involved the shipment of 27 thousand tons of material linked to Grupo Lampa.
According to the concessionaire, the ferrous material was loaded onto the Panamanian-flagged vessel Ultra Lanin to be transported to Peru. The vessel, built in 2024, is linked to Ultrabulk, a subsidiary of Ultranav.
The operation was carried out at Site N°1 of the terminal operated by TTP. "With this shipment, we completed 80 thousand tons of scrap metal loaded during the year, and it meant working with rain and wind," the company communicated.
"A task that we were able to complete without problems thanks to the work of our team, who were always ensuring the safety of our collaborators, the ship's crew, and our client's cargo," it added.
It is worth remembering that three months ago, the second shipment of this type was carried out, which involved moving 27 thousand tons of scrap metal - also linked to Grupo Lampa - to Mexico.
