A year ago, Andino Investment Holding (AIH) approved the integration of two of its subsidiaries: Cosmos Agencia Marítima would absorb Infinia Operador Logístico, through a merger by absorption process that became effective in January 2026. As a result of this unification, the new port logistics operator will have US$ 54 million in assets and US$ 16 million in equity. A year after this decision, what plans has the company outlined for the medium term?
Marcelo Bustamante, general manager of Cosmos Global Logistics (the name encompassing Cosmos and Infinia after their merger), told Gestión that the integration marks the beginning of a new stage for Andino Investment Holding.
"The integration of Cosmos Global Logistics represents the beginning of a new stage for Andino Investment Holding's logistics business and the opportunity to build a company with greater scale, complementary infrastructure capabilities, experience, and talent, through a more robust value proposition," he stated.
During the first six months of integrated operation, the company has received a favorable response from its clients to its proposal to centralize different services under a single operator. "Today we are a company with the capacity to offer complete integrated solutions, and in these first months, we have felt a good reception and interest from our clients. This allows us to offer integrated 'end to end' solutions under a single operator (one-stop shop), guaranteeing greater coordination, efficiency, and responsiveness in operations," he remarked.
In this regard, the strategy of the merged company consists of articulating its maritime and port services, such as vessel attendance, terminal operation, and other port services, with land operations, which include customs brokerage, warehousing, transportation, distribution, and customs and temporary depots for general cargo and containers. The different businesses of Cosmos Global Logistics currently serve more than 350 clients.
"We seek to increase the range of services we are capable of offering, to be a one-stop shop company, that is, to provide the same client with all services, from maritime and port services to logistics services, such as transportation, customs, customs depot, temporary depot, simple depot, and even to be their distribution center," Bustamante explained.
2026 has been planned as a year to lay the foundations for integrated operation. Therefore, the company, Bustamante commented, is working on process integration, the development of new systems, cultural alignment, the generation of operational synergies, and the expansion of its service portfolio.
These actions seek to strengthen the organization to sustain its objective of double-digit annual growth. "In terms of results, Cosmos Global Logistics expects to close the year with sales close to US$ 55 million, driven by the performance of its different maritime and logistics business units," he argued.
For this year, the company also aims for greater dynamism in its comprehensive logistics, temporary depots, transportation, and distribution businesses.
The maritime and port sector continues to be an important component of its sales, supported by its market positioning. However, the company also identifies opportunities in land logistics services, in a context where the evolution of foreign trade and the development of investment projects in Peru open space for operators with specialized and integrated solutions.
"Our expectation is to grow above the market, expand our client portfolio, participate in higher value-added projects, and develop new capabilities," said the general manager.
For 2027, Cosmos Global Logistics projects growth of between 20% and 25% in its land logistics services. This advance would be explained, its top representative argued, by comprehensive logistics solutions aimed at importers and exporters, which include customs services, warehousing, transportation, distribution, and temporary and customs depots.
In terms of billing, the company maintains its objective of double-digit growth next year. "For next year, we seek to grow very significantly and also be leaders in comprehensive logistics businesses, for which we are giving a significant boost to these business units with a service offering tailored to the needs of our clients," Bustamante affirmed.
To accompany this expansion, Cosmos Global Logistics expects to more than double its installed capacity in Callao. "This will require an investment plan that includes the acquisition of more trucks and the expansion of storage areas, among other measures, to strengthen warehousing and temporary and customs depot operations, as well as comprehensive logistics services for importers and exporters," Bustamante commented, without specifying the planned investment amount.
In the medium term, Cosmos Global Logistics maintains the goal of doubling the size of its business in five years. With that objective, the integration of Cosmos and Infinia constitutes the starting point. "Our aspiration is always to grow double-digit annually and yes, to double the size of the company in five years. In the next five years, we want to consolidate ourselves as one of the main integrated logistics operators in Peru and develop a platform with regional expansion capacity," the executive stated.
The company thus seeks to strengthen its offering to meet the needs of its clients and the development of strategic sectors of the country, with the aim of consolidating a more integrated operation and expanding its reach in the logistics market.
Regarding operations at the Port of Chancay during the first half of 2026, Bustamante highlighted that this infrastructure contributes to expanding the country's port capacity. "Currently, part of the cargo that was previously moved through the Port of Callao is now moving through Chancay, which reduces congestion stress at the first port terminal," he reported.
The executive added that Chancay has become a relevant entry and exit point for different types of cargo and that Cosmos Global Logistics already handles maritime agency and comprehensive logistics operations in that port.
