Ositrán Launches Third GPS Monitoring Pilot for Trucks at Callao Terminals

Ositrán is preparing to execute a new pilot program to monitor the transit and dwell times of trucks entering and exiting the Northern Multipurpose Terminal (TNM) of Callao and the New Container Terminal at the Callao Port Terminal-South Zone (MSC), using information from GPS devices installed in these trucks, which will be transmitted to the platform implemented by Ositrán.

After having developed two pilots at TNM, which included vehicles for fragmented cargo, solid bulk cargo, and containerized cargo, a Third Pilot will be developed, expanding the scope of monitoring by incorporating units that move containerized cargo at MSC.

In this regard, trucking companies operating at TNM and MSC are invited to join this Third Pilot, to be developed between October 2026 and April 2027.

How to participate?

Interested companies must submit the Authorization for participation in the GPS truck monitoring pilot form, duly signed, to mortega@ositran.gob.pe by October 16, 2026. This form includes the technical integration and transmission parameters, and through it, the transport company:

• Authorizes Ositrán to use the geolocation information of its units for the purpose of supervising truck dwell times at TNM and MSC,
• Authorizes and grants access mandate to its GPS service provider to transmit, directly and continuously, GPS frames to the technological platform designated by Ositrán.

Once the documentation is validated, Ositrán will send the GPS service provider the necessary technical parameters for configuring the transmission of frames to the monitoring platform.
