With positive participation and an agenda focused on the main challenges and opportunities of the international logistics chain, Terminal Puerto Arica (TPA) concluded a new edition of the International Port Operations Course (Ciop) Peru 2026, an event that brought together clients, logistics operators, and representatives linked to Peruvian foreign trade over three days.
The activity allowed for an in-depth discussion of different processes and services related to port operations, integrating technical presentations, on-site visits, and dialogue spaces aimed at strengthening knowledge and connections among the different actors in the logistics chain.
During the program, presentations were given on port operations, imports and exports, ISO certifications, environment, dangerous goods, land operations, and customs processes, also featuring the participation of entities such as the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration of Peru (Sunat), the National Customs Service of Chile, the National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (Senasa), and the Tacna Free Zone (Zofratacna).
Likewise, attendees were able to tour different operational areas of the terminal, including the northern sector and warehouses, allowing them to see firsthand the infrastructure, equipment, and capabilities that Terminal Puerto Arica offers for the development of multipurpose operations.
Camilo Jobet, General Manager of Terminal Puerto Arica, highlighted that "Ciop Peru has become a very relevant instance to bring our operations closer to clients and foreign trade actors, allowing for the generation of learning, trust, and direct connection spaces. For us, it is fundamental to continue strengthening these relationships and to show firsthand the capabilities, services, and infrastructure that we make available to the Andean macro-zone."
Dennis Chalco, from N-LOG Internacional Cargo, valued that "it was a very enriching experience, highlighting the excellent attention and willingness of the Terminal Puerto Arica team during the three days. This instance allowed us to deeply understand the capabilities, services, and strengths of the port, consolidating it as a strategic ally for logistics development and foreign trade."
David Becerra, from Oliamerica, noted that "it was a very significant experience. I have been working in foreign trade for more than 15 years and exporting through Puerto Arica, so getting to know the port from within was truly a dream come true. I highlight the great willingness and closeness of the management team and the workers of Terminal Puerto Arica, who taught us with great clarity how port operations work and answered all our questions. We gained valuable knowledge about the work carried out by the port, as well as new contacts that will undoubtedly strengthen our relationship and allow us to continue boosting our export development."
For Terminal Puerto Arica, this instance represented "an important opportunity to continue strengthening the relationship with clients and strategic actors in Peru, promoting the exchange of experiences, collaboration, and direct knowledge of the logistical processes that are part of the port chain."
"The realization of Ciop Peru 2026 reaffirms Terminal Puerto Arica's commitment to regional logistical development, integration with Peru, and the generation of collaboration spaces that contribute to strengthening foreign trade and the connectivity of the Andean macro-zone," concluded the concessionaire of the Port of Arica.
