Tanker Kifan Attacked Off Oman Coast, Crew Evacuated Safely
UK Maritime Trade Operations reported an attack on the crude oil tanker Kifan off the Oman coast on 20 July, triggering a fire in the engine room. The 2014-built vessel, owned by Kuwait Oil Tanker and sailing under Kuwait's flag, was hit by an unknown projectile around eight nautical miles northeast of Limah. All crew members safely abandoned the vessel at approximately 20:10 UTC with no casualties reported, and no immediate pollution or environmental damage was recorded.
