U.S. Attacks 90 Iranian Military Targets to Protect Navigation in Hormuz

The United States completed a new round of attacks against Iranian positions on July 8, hitting approximately 90 military targets including air defense systems, coastal surveillance, and naval capabilities. These attacks follow a previous offensive on July 7 that impacted 80 targets, including more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps vessels. The action responds to Iranian attacks against three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz: Al Rekayyat, Wedyan, and Cyprus Prosperity.
