The Minister of Economy and Finance, José Arista, led the presentation of the publication "Portfolio of Infrastructure Investment Projects in Peru," which includes 127 prioritized projects totaling US$ 110.2 billion, and which will be distributed at major international forums to attract private investment in the country.
"This guide contains a universe of projects that is organized and structured so that investors do not have to research too much, but rather find a portfolio of projects that is already ready, and in this way can accelerate the decision-making process for their investments," said Minister Arista.
The head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) stated that the Government of Peru is committed to unblocking large-scale infrastructure projects, so that more companies come to the country to invest, thereby creating more jobs for Peruvians.
Projects
In this regard, Arista specified that the prioritized portfolio of 127 projects, amounting to US$ 110.2 billion, is distributed as follows:
Minister Arista also highlighted that the Government plays an important role as an articulator to attract private investment in the country.
"We are convinced that the private sector is the engine of the economy and that in association with the Government it can generate the infrastructure the country needs," he indicated.
APEC
The Minister of Economy and Finance also stressed that the publication "Portfolio of Infrastructure Investment Projects in Peru" will be distributed at major international forums, such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Peru 2024 Forum.
"APEC gives us a great window to the world, to expose Peru as a solid economy and an attractive destination for investments," said Arista.
In this way, the Minister of Economy and Finance, José Arista, reaffirmed the Government's commitment to private investment as an engine of the economy and job creation in the country.
The presentation was held with the presence of the Executive Director of Proinversión, José Salardi; the President of Confiep, Alfonso Bustamante; and representatives of the private sector, business associations, embassies, and investment banks.
