The Port Authority of Tarragona has opened a new public call to fill nine permanent Port Police positions through a competitive examination process. The positions are permanent and subject to the III Collective Bargaining Agreement for State Ports and Port Authorities.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 29, 2026. The call also provides for the creation of a Port Police job bank with a validity of 24 months, which will allow for a reserve of candidates for future staffing needs.
The Port Police's functions include contributing to ensuring the security, protection, and proper functioning of port facilities, as well as looking after people, infrastructure, and activities carried out within the port area.
The incorporation of new agents contributes to strengthening a specialized body committed to the security and proper functioning of the Port of Tarragona. Requirements include being 18 years old and not having reached the ordinary retirement age, having the required qualification, holding a B driving license, and demonstrating at least an intermediate B2 level of Catalan. The process also includes physical tests of speed, endurance, and swimming.
