Damen Shipyards introduced its Fuel Flexible (FF) Tugs range—comprising the ASD Tug 2512 FF, ASD Tug 2713 FF, and ASD Tug 3313 FF—designed to address maritime energy transition uncertainty. The vessels feature modular energy concepts with additional spaces for alternative energy sources, allowing retrofit from diesel to hybrid, HVO, or methanol configurations during their operational lifetime. This approach enables tug owners to invest in fleet renewal cost-effectively while maintaining flexibility to adapt as fuel technologies and regulations evolve.
