Panama Canal: USD 5.560 million budget approved for 2027
The Budget Committee of the National Assembly of Deputies approved in first debate the Panama Canal's budget of USD 5,560,427,235 for the fiscal period from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. The contribution from the National Treasury amounts to USD 3,611,525,016, equivalent to an additional 12.9%. USD 341,633,450 is allocated for new investments, including USD 82,080,114 for the Río Indio lake project.
