Call Reiterated to Respect Regulations Prohibiting Truck Transit on Juan Pablo II Bridge
The Seremi of the MOP of Bio Bio reiterates the prohibition, in effect since 2010, for truck transit on the Juan Pablo II Bridge, which connects Concepción with San Pedro de la Paz. Seremi José Piña reported that the conservation project has an estimated investment of $9 billion and includes structural reinforcement, improved road safety, and the installation of a gantry with surveillance cameras. The work will begin in June 2026, taking place during night shifts over 600 days.
