MTC Voluntarily Promotes Transition Towards Circular and Sustainable Transport for the Benefit of the Country
The Vice Minister of Transport, Juan del Carmen Haro Muñoz, inaugurated the presentation workshop for the Circular Economy Roadmap for the Transport Sector (HREC Transportes) for the period 2027-2031. The country faces the challenge of managing 8.7 million tons of solid waste annually, of which less than 2% is formally recovered. The initiative, voluntarily promoted, seeks to overcome the linear model of "extract, produce, and dispose" through an integral and systemic approach, with the support of the European Union.
