ICTSI Orders 12 Kalmar Hybrid Straddle Carriers for New South Luzon Container Terminal in the Philippines

Kalmar signed an agreement with International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) for the supply of a total of 12 hybrid straddle carriers to be deployed at South Luzon Container Terminal (SLCT), located at Bauan International Port, in Batangas, Philippines.

This order, which also includes MyKalmar Insight coverage for all cranes, was registered in Kalmar's Q3 2026 order book, with delivery of all units scheduled for Q3 2027.

ICTSI is one of the largest container terminal operators in the Philippines. SLCT is located approximately 110 kilometers south of Manila, within Bauan International Port, and will support industrial and manufacturing activities. Once completed, it will feature an 800-meter quay, a 38-hectare yard, and an annual capacity of 1.6 million TEUs.

As part of the agreement, Kalmar will also supply a straddle carrier simulator. The simulator will be located at the terminal and will be used to train new operators and, in the future, for current operators to upgrade their skills.
