SENACE granted conformity to the detailed Environmental Impact Study and its three complementary technical instruments, strengthening the development of this strategic port project.
Lima, November 05, 2026.- The San Juan de Marcona Port Terminal reached an important milestone to advance towards its execution, promoted by PROINVERSIÓN, with the approval of its environmental management instruments by the National Service for Environmental Certification for Sustainable Investments (SENACE).
This result includes the certification of the detailed Environmental Impact Study (EIA-d) and the conformity of three Supporting Technical Reports (ITS), consolidating the environmental conditions to continue with the development of this strategic port project for the south of the country.
The approval of these instruments reflects the technical progress of the project and the incorporation of engineering improvements, in compliance with current environmental regulations. Likewise, it establishes measures for the prevention, control, and mitigation of possible impacts on the marine and terrestrial environment, ensuring that the development of the infrastructure considers environmental protection.
This advance represents an important step towards realizing a modern and efficient port terminal that will contribute to strengthening the logistical and commercial infrastructure of southern Peru. Its development will generate new investment opportunities, employment, and economic revitalization for the region, in addition to improving conditions for connecting national production with international markets.
With the approval of its environmental instruments, the San Juan de Marcona Port Terminal consolidates the necessary conditions to continue advancing towards its execution, integrating logistical competitiveness, economic development, and environmental sustainability for the benefit of the country.
