Cape Falcon bulk carrier remains aground off Gladstone after failed refloating attempts
The Liberian-flagged bulk carrier Cape Falcon remained aground for five days off Gladstone, central Queensland, Australia, following two unsuccessful refloating attempts with tugboat assistance. No pollution or hull breach has been reported. All crew are safe with no injuries. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has launched an investigation and will conduct seaworthiness inspections before the vessel is permitted to sail.
