Port of Montreal Celebrates Inter-institutional Collaboration After Discovering Shipment of Stolen Cars
The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) celebrated a coordinated operation with the City of Montréal Police, the Canada Border Services Agency, and the Ontario Provincial Police that intercepted 39 stolen vehicles at the Port of Montreal. Operation WINN led to the seizure of six additional vehicles in a commercial building in Anjou, the questioning of 47 truck drivers, and the issuance of 21 fines. According to the MPA, car thefts fell by 25% in 2025 compared to the previous year.
