Carnival Liberty withdrawn from Navantia shipyard amid regional strike in Spain
CCL-Carnival Cruise Line abruptly pulled the Carnival Liberty from the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz, Spain, due to an unexpected regional strike by metalworkers and auxiliary subcontractors. The uncompleted vessel was towed to a secondary dry dock facility in Marseille, France, to complete the refurbishment. The disruption forced Carnival to cancel the ship's post-refurbishment return cruise, affecting passengers and highlighting vulnerabilities in cruise corporations' global maintenance supply chains.
