Government Promotes Agricultural Diversification to Expand Ecuador's Exportable Offer
The National Government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries (MAGP), is strengthening an agricultural diversification strategy aimed at expanding Ecuador's exportable offer. The initiative is part of the Agricultural Public Policy 2025-2034, which prioritizes 32 agro-productive chains. Cocoa stands out with exports increasing from 426,274 tons in 2024 to 549,448 tons in 2025. The increase in exported volumes demands greater storage capacities, port services, and international connectivity.
