APM Terminals Yucatán Electric Reach Stacker Reduces CO2 Emissions
APM Terminals Yucatán has incorporated its first 100% electric vehicle, a reach stacker with a lifting capacity of 45 tons and a stacking height of five containers. Equipped with a 507 kWh LFP battery, this equipment is expected to prevent approximately 125 tons of CO2 emissions annually compared to an equivalent diesel model. The terminal was selected as one of three pilot sites globally to implement electrification solutions.
