Temuco-Gorbea Railway Project Advances with 20% Construction

The Temuco-Gorbea railway extension project has reached 20% completion in infrastructure replacement works, with an investment of 37.7 million dollars, according to EFE Trenes de Chile. The works include the renovation of 45 kilometers of railway track, 8 kilometers of sidings, and improvements to vehicular and pedestrian crossings. Passenger service is projected to resume in the second half of 2027, with the capacity to mobilize over 4 million passengers annually.
