Senate approves port security bill against organized crime

The Senate unanimously approved a bill that strengthens port, customs, and logistics security against organized crime. The motion, initiated by Senator Paulina Núñez and Senators Iván Flores, Carlos Kuschel, Iván Moreira, and Cristián Vial, will be referred to the Water Resources, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Committee. The project establishes obligations for traceability, prevention, and criminal liability in the foreign trade chain.
