Chilean Customs Presents Advances in Modernization and Border Control 2026

The National Customs Service of Chile held its Participatory Public Account 2026, presenting advances in institutional modernization, border control, and foreign trade facilitation. National Director Alejandra Arriaza highlighted the implementation of a new structure derived from Law 21,713, which reached a staff of 2,319 officials. The agency reported 100% cargo inspection, 1,468 drug-related procedures with seizures of 5,366 kilograms of marijuana, cocaine, and "pasta base," in addition to an investment of $6,645,532,535 in Information Technologies.
