New Zealand-based family-owned Heritage Expeditions released the maiden 2027-28 season of its new ship Heritage Discoverer which will join Heritage Adventurer and expedition yacht Heritage Explorer next May.
Built in the same shipyard in Finland as Heritage Adventure and originally called Delfin Clipper, she sailed under several names before starting Silversea's foray into expedition cruising as Silver Explorer.
She was sailing as Exploris One for the French company Exploris when it ceased operations.
Heritage Expeditions owners and directors Aaron and Nathan Russ described the company's new vessel and curated itineraries as a pivotal moment in its 40-plus year history.
'Today sees an exciting evolution of Heritage Expeditions as we chart a new course, while continuing our legacy of authentic, responsible small ship expedition travel to some of the wildest, least explored and biologically rich regions on the planet,' Aaron Russ said.
The new itineraries include a mix of remote wilderness and wildlife expedition destinations including Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, South Georgia, the Falklands and the Faroes, Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland and the Channel Islands.
They also include sailings along the coasts of Spain, Portugal and France and around the British Isles.
Some of the Arctic and Antarctic departures are chartered to Polar Latitudes Expeditions.
Heritage Discoverer's maiden season is on sale now, with savings of 20% on all berths and an additional 10% discount for returning guests on bookings made by August 31.
