Tauck adds MS Harmonie in 2028 to expand river fleet

Tauck announced the addition of the MS Harmonie in 2028, as part of a multi-phase investment in its river fleet, expanding the places and ways passengers can sail. Between 2026 and 2028, the company will introduce five new river ships: the MS Lumière and MS Serene, which debuted in 2026; the MS Reverie and MS Saudade, arriving in 2027; and the MS Harmonie, in 2028.

The program adds new capacity and retires two older ships. By 2028, Tauck's river cruise capacity will grow by more than 50%, supported by a broader portfolio of off-season departures, a new six-day cruise format for passengers with less time, and additional destinations.

"River cruising continues to be one of the most popular ways guests discover Tauck for the first time, and the feedback our passengers have shared over the years shapes every ship we build. The name Harmonie reflects what we hope passengers will feel on board and along the river: a sense of balance, tranquility, and connection to the places we explore," said Jennifer Tombaugh, CEO of Tauck.

Custom-designed to sail the Rhône, the MS Harmonie shares the deck layout and signature spaces of the MS Lumière, with capacity for a maximum of 130 passengers, up to 30% less than other similarly sized river ships.
