(10:45 a.m. EDT) — Luxury river cruise line Uniworld has revealed that it will welcome three new ships in 2028: S.S. Helen, S.S. Clara and Mekong Mystique.
With the tripe addition, Uniworld's fleet will grow to 22 ships worldwide.
Scheduled to sail on the Danube, S.S. Helen will be named after Helen of Troy. Beyond its name, the ship will draw classical antiquity and the influence of Greek culture throughout the Danube region.
Featured itineraries aboard S.S. Helen include the 15-day Danube Grandeur voyage, visiting iconic destinations like Budapest, Nurenberg, Vienna, Bratislava and Belgrade across six countries.
S.S. Clara will call the Rhine River home, and is an homage to 17th-century Flemish painter Clara Peeters, one of the Dutch Golden Age's most celebrated female artists. The ship's interiors will feature inspiration from Peeters still-life paintings as well as the artistry and natural beauty of the Rhine region.
The new vessel will debut with the springtime 'Holland & Belgium at Tulip Time' itinerary, an eight-day voyage from Brussels to Amsterdam.
As the name suggests, Mekong Mystique will sail the Southeast Asian river alongside the cruise line's existing Mekong Jewel. The new ship draws inspiration from classic Indochine design, combining European architectural details with natural materials to create interiors that reflect the heritage and landscapes of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Mekong Mystique is scheduled to sell exclusively sail on the cruise line's 15-day "Timeless Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong".
