Sany Renewable Energy dispatched from Tianjin Port, China, the main equipment destined for its first wind farm in Chile, the 18 MW Purranque Project. The cargo is traveling aboard the vessel Simag Beijing, with an estimated arrival on July 6 at Terminales Marítimos de la Patagonia (TMP), Puerto Montt.
The company provides a comprehensive service that includes supply, transportation, and installation, along with logistics planning, multimodal coordination, and specialized assistance with customs procedures.
The shipment includes the complete set of turbines, a significant milestone for Sany Renewable Energy's expansion in Latin America.
The project is progressing according to schedule, as the structural components were delivered earlier this year, and now the main equipment is in transit. The next stage involves on-site installation and commissioning.
As an emblematic clean energy initiative developed in conjunction with local stakeholders, it will provide a stable and low-carbon electricity supply for the communities in the area. Furthermore, it will contribute to the diversification of Chile's energy matrix and strengthen the flexibility of the national system.
"For Sany, this project validates the adaptability of our technology to local conditions and paves the way for more collaborative clean energy projects in the region. We remain committed to sharing our consolidated experience in renewable energy to drive the global transformation towards a low-carbon economy," the Chinese multinational communicated.
For this initiative, the technical solution was conceived taking into account the geographical and climatic particularities of Chile, with the aim of ensuring reliable performance even in complex scenarios.
This is not Sany's first transoceanic shipment. Since intensifying its global expansion in 2022, it has established subsidiaries and local teams in Europe, South Asia, Central Asia, and Africa, forming a distribution network that covers the main international markets. It currently operates 17 manufacturing plants outside China, more than 900 service centers, and nearly a thousand spare parts warehouses.
Its global competitiveness extends throughout the entire value chain, from R&D and design to product validation, intelligent manufacturing, and reliable supply and delivery.
These capabilities are supported by state-of-the-art technical facilities, including the world's first factory dedicated to the production of smart blades for wind power and the largest 35 MW six-degree-of-freedom full-system test bench developed in China.
