The Fesco Transport Group launched a new regular container train service from the Chekhov Transport and Logistics Complex (TLC) in the Moscow region to Chita-1 station, thus expanding the network of routes for its domestic rail services.
"We continue to develop our container services, focusing on market demand and the needs of our clients. The new regular train offers shippers a direct logistics solution for delivering goods to Chita and, in general, makes the supply chain from the capital region to the Zabaykalsky Krai more predictable and convenient," stated Natalia Ivannikova, Commercial Director of Fesco Integrated Transport.
Trains depart twice a month, and the average travel time to the destination is nine days. Most of the cargo traffic consists of consumer goods, food, and construction materials. The projected monthly volume is up to 250 TEU.
The first container train of this service, loaded with 80 TEU, arrived in Chita on August 1. In addition to rail transport, Fesco clients also have access to door-to-door delivery by truck within Moscow and neighboring regions.
