The Alabama Port Authority reported that its work crews successfully installed the spans for the new interterminal connector bridge at APM Terminals Mobile, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing expansion of container operations at the Port of Mobile in that U.S. state.
Once completed, the bridge will allow containers arriving at the Port of Mobile to be transferred directly from the docks to APM's Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF) without traveling on public roads.
This, they explain, improves efficiency and accelerates the movement of goods throughout the entire supply chain. According to the Alabama Port Authority, this infrastructure is built for the future of global trade.
