Damen Delivers CF Anja Vessel to Juru Agentura Forsa

Damen Shipyards Group delivered a combined cargo (CF) 3850 vessel to Juru Agentura Forsa, a Lithuania-based company. The delivery of the vessel, named CF Anja, took place during a ceremony attended by Juru Agentura Forsa Director Antanas Anilionis and Damen Sales Manager Koert Slobbe.

The delivery of the CF Anja marked a milestone for Forsa, as it is the first newly built vessel in its fleet destined for dry cargo transport. The incorporation of the unit will allow the company to explore new business opportunities and strengthen its global presence.

The vessel features a hull optimized through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to offer low resistance, thereby reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Additionally, it is prepared for the integration of additional solutions that improve its efficiency.

According to Damen, to meet Forsa's operational requirements, the CF Anja has been equipped to run on HVO biofuel. Furthermore, an equalizer duct has been installed to ensure a uniform water flow behind the vessel, reducing noise, vibrations, and fuel consumption.

The vessel also has a 120-kilowatt shore connection to allow the use of electricity during port calls. In addition, the CF Anja is prepared for the installation of a VentoFoil wind-assisted propulsion system (WASP).
