ZTT Submarine Cable & System announced the launch of the Lan Hai Ling Hang, an industry-leading self-propelled cable-laying vessel, marking a significant milestone in strengthening China's marine energy and submarine infrastructure capabilities.
Designed to erect state-of-the-art offshore wind farms and lay cross-border submarine power interconnections, this vessel boasts a 16,000-ton cable carousel, a DP-2 dynamic positioning system, and a dual laying mechanism.
Capable of mastering both the open sea and deep abysses, the unit solidifies its position at the pinnacle of Asian naval engineering as one of the continent's most advanced cable-laying vessels.
Following its formal delivery, this new vessel will be responsible for installing submarine interconnection and export cables for domestic deep-water offshore wind farms along China's coasts.
