The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) published the proposed Regulation on Citizen Participation in Environmental Matters of the Transport Sector. In light of this, it invites public sector entities, owners of transport sector projects, activities and/or services, social organizations, academia, and citizens in general to participate in the Regulatory Public Consultation of the regulation.
The objective of the invitation is to gather relevant information that allows for the identification of improvement options for the proposed regulation, as well as to warn of possible risks in its compliance or implementation. In this way, transparent, participatory, and consensual management is promoted.
The regulatory proposal was published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on June 9, 2026, through Ministerial Resolution N.º 315-2026-MTC/01.02. Interested parties wishing to submit comments, contributions, or opinions can write to the email addresses consultasdgaam@mtc.gob.pe and mtorres-prov@mtc.gob.pe until June 24, 2026.

It should be noted that the DGAAM conducted an Early Public Consultation between February 27 and March 13, 2026, due to the limited participation of the population in the environmental evaluation processes of transport sector investment projects nationwide.
The contributions and/or comments collected contributed to the elaboration of the proposed Regulation on Citizen Participation in Environmental Matters of the Transport Sector published on June 9.
In this regard, during the Regulatory Public Consultation, the DGAAM will continue to receive and review comments and contributions that will strengthen the Regulation on Citizen Participation in Environmental Matters of the Transport Sector.
