Two Permanent Bridges Over the Chancay River in Peru: 92 Meters Each

Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications and the concessionaire Red Vial 5 have agreed to proceed with the construction of two permanent bridges over the Chancay River, at km 76 of the Panamericana Norte. These structures will replace the damaged bridges and maintain the land connection of the corridor.

The project includes two independent 92-meter bridges, each with two lanes, shoulders, and protective works at their accesses. While the works are being carried out, two modular structures will allow the passage of over 14,000 vehicles daily, with an estimated construction period of 18 months.

This infrastructure will impact land connectivity with the Chancay port area and and the movement of heavy cargo. Its execution will contribute to strengthening the operational continuity of this strategic logistics corridor for Peruvian foreign trade.
