Rio Brasil Terminal achieved a new productivity record with the entry into service of its new STS cranes. With the equipment in operation, this facility – which is part of Ictsi's portfolio – achieved 130.8 movements per hour.
The incorporation of new STS equipment, along with operational and logistical planning, allowed for a historic record during the handling of the M/V Cosco Shipping Mexico, as highlighted by the port operator on its social media.
The new equipment is already operational at the terminal and is part of the company's strategy to increase the efficiency of its operations and transform investments into concrete productivity improvements.
The result was recorded during the Cosco Shipping Mexico's call, when the operation reached 130.8 movements per hour, one of the highest performance levels recorded by the terminal. The milestone took place on August 18.
According to the company, the incorporation of the new equipment was accompanied by a robust operational planning process, which allowed the cranes to be integrated into the terminal's logistics and optimize the development of operations.
