Portos do Paraná achieved its best historical position in the "500 Largest in the South 2026" ranking, compiled by Grupo Amanhã and PwC Brasil. The company ranked 59th among the largest in Paraná and 157th among companies in the Southern Region. This advancement in the ranking reflects the growth in cargo handling and the investments made in recent years.
Published for 36 years, the survey includes economic and financial indicators of public and private companies in the Southern Region. To calculate the Weighted Grandeur Value (VPG), the publication's own indicator, factors such as net equity, net revenue, and net profit are considered.
The awards ceremony took place on Tuesday afternoon (13), at the headquarters of the Federation of Industries of Paraná (Fiep), in Curitiba.
"It is a great satisfaction to represent Portos do Paraná at this award ceremony and to receive this recognition, which marks our best historical position in the rankings of the 500 largest in the Southern Region," highlighted Felipe Gama, Director of Business Development, who represented the company at the event.
The survey recorded Portos do Paraná's advancement in financial indicators, especially in net profit, which more than doubled. The Weighted Grandeur Value reached R$ 1.01 billion, a 25.1% increase compared to the R$ 810.9 million recorded in the previous edition.
"This result reflects the company's economic and financial evolution. The advancements demonstrate the company's solidity, the consistency of our management, and the ability to continue generating value for the port sector and for Paraná," added Gama.
The ranking of the 100 largest companies in Paraná and the 500 largest companies in Southern Brazil has been published since 1991 by Grupo Amanhã and has become a reference in the Brazilian business community. The 2026 edition is based on data from the 2025 fiscal year.
To calculate the Weighted Grandeur Value, the publication assigns different weights to the indicators that make up the index: 50% to net equity, 40% to net revenue, and 10% to net profit. The complete ranking will be officially released on October 26.
