Major shipping lines are adjusting their container shipping services between Asia and the East Coast of South America. ZIM and Hapag-Lloyd will jointly operate the ZFS/AS3 service, while CMA CGM will revamp part of its network starting December 2026.
The joint operation of ZIM and Hapag-Lloyd includes connections between ports in China and Brazil, with access to the Rio de la Plata via Rio Grande. For its part, CMA CGM will modify the SEAS 2 and SEAS A services to expand port coverage and improve direct connections.
These changes reflect a reorganization of maritime routes between Asia and South America, with adjustments in port calls and regional connections. The modifications seek to adapt the transport offering to the needs of foreign trade and improve the flexibility of service networks.
