Ecuador and the United States are strengthening their security cooperation through joint operations aimed at controlling illicit activities, especially in coastal areas. These actions include reinforcing operational capabilities in Ecuadorian territory.
As part of this cooperation, two warships and three Black Hawk helicopters are expected to be incorporated to support surveillance and control operations. The deployment aims to reinforce operational presence in maritime areas and strategic coastal cities, such as Manta.
The strengthening of maritime control is a relevant component for the security of the country's trade routes and port areas. International cooperation aims to improve surveillance and protection capabilities in Ecuadorian maritime spaces.
