Ecuador recorded exports totaling USD 19.571 million during the first half of 2026, the highest value for that period. This performance reflects greater diversification of its exportable offerings and reduced dependence on hydrocarbons.
The opening of new markets and the consolidation of trade agreements facilitate the access of Ecuadorian products to destinations such as Canada, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, and the United Arab Emirates. These markets present opportunities for agricultural, aquaculture, fishery, and manufactured products.
Growth in foreign trade also requires strengthening productive capacity, certifications, traceability, and export logistics. The incorporation of added value and the diversification of destinations are relevant elements for expanding Ecuador's presence in international markets.
