The Director General of the National Customs Service of Ecuador (SENAE), Eng. Luis Eduardo Vásconez Boloña, together with his technical team, participated in a working group with the Ecuadorian Federation of Customs Agents (FEDA), presided over by Eng. Katya López Mena, its Board of Directors and representatives of the member associations.
During the meeting, topics such as reasonable doubt, the Trade Agreement between Ecuador and China, the requirements for Foreign Trade Operators (OCE), and customs security were analyzed, with an emphasis on coordination among sector stakeholders.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of dialogue and cooperation between the customs authority and guild representatives, as well as the need to strengthen the role of the Customs Agent in control processes and in the efficient development of Ecuadorian foreign trade.
