Guayaquil's Fifth Bridge Begins Pile Driving on Section 1A

Guayaquil's Fifth Bridge has commenced the placement of piles for Section 1A, marking a new phase for this strategic project. The viaduct will be approximately one kilometer long and will require around 1,100 piles for its construction.

The project is part of a 44-kilometer logistics corridor aimed at connecting the southern ports of Guayaquil with Durán and the Puerto Inca-Naranjal highway. This infrastructure will improve cargo mobilization and reduce heavy vehicle traffic on urban roads.

As work progresses, expropriation processes and the relocation of pipelines and power lines are still pending. Additionally, the government is preparing to contract sections 4 and 5 to continue the comprehensive development of this strategic connection.
