The Varadero Neptuno project envisions the construction of a shipyard in Punta Blanca, Jaramijó, dedicated to the maintenance and repair of fishing vessels and nautical tourism boats. The initiative was presented by businessman Héctor Egas to representatives of the Manta Chamber of Commerce.
The project foresees an investment of USD 3.5 million and infrastructure capable of servicing up to four vessels of 75 meters in length. This proposal aims to reduce operating costs and strengthen services for the tuna fleet and the maritime sector.
The initiative has the corresponding permits and approvals and is currently in the financing management stage. Its development seeks to boost maritime activity, generate employment, and stimulate the regional economy, strengthening naval infrastructure and services linked to maritime trade and transport.
