Alicante, October 21, 2026. The Alicante Port Authority hosted the closing day of the program "AI strategically applied to improve productivity, decision-making, and process analysis," promoted by Alicante Port Innova in collaboration with the Alicante Science Park (PCA) and the University of Alicante (UA). The initiative offered professionals and companies from various sectors practical criteria to identify where artificial intelligence can add value and evaluate its incorporation into business activity.
The meeting brought together institutional representatives, the teaching team, and the participants. The opening was led by José Manuel Ramos, Head of the Innovation Department of the Alicante Port Authority, and included an intervention by Olivia Estrella, Head of Strategic Development at the PCA.
The President of the Alicante Port Authority and Alicante Port Innova, Luis Rodríguez, highlighted that this training is part of the association's work to bring innovation to both companies in the port community and the entire business fabric of Alicante: "If we truly want to transform our organizations, we must start with people," he stated.
Rodríguez explained that Alicante Port Innova accompanies companies in their innovation processes, facilitating access to resources, financing, and new development opportunities. In this context, he emphasized the practical approach of the program and the exchange of experiences among companies from different sectors to identify common needs and possible AI applications.
The program included 7 hours and 30 minutes of online and in-person training sessions, complemented by a pool of 30 hours of mentoring available to all participating companies. This support was tailored to the needs of each organization, without the need to exhaust all available hours.
